What you will learn
Evaluate the current evidence supporting platelet-rich plasma (PRP), bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC), microfragmented adipose tissue (MFAT) and other emerging orthobiologic therapies for common musculoskeletal conditions. Apply an evidence-based framework to determine when, why, and for whom orthobiologic treatment is appropriate based on patient presentation, pathology and treatment goals. Differentiate among available orthobiologic therapies and select the most appropriate treatment strategy using current evidence, biologic principles and patient-specific factors. Integrate clinical evidence, imaging findings and patient expectations into shared decision-making for orthobiologic treatment planning. Critically assess controversial topics and emerging research in orthobiologics to distinguish evidence-based practice from evolving or unsupported applications. Analyze complex clinical cases to develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies utilizing orthobiologic therapies.
